“Sierra Palms” @ Sringeri

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This is an apartment project with 18 Flats in the temple town of Sringeri, Karnataka. The building sits on a extremely challenging sloping site adjoining NH4.

The site is sloping by about 40 meters down from the road at a steep 60^o   deg angle. As one can see from the sections, there are 2 floors below the basement level and 5 floors above the basement level. Being located in an area with heavy rainfall footings had to be designed with varying founding levels to take care of the slope and to minimize any sliding action in the footings due to the slope.

Overall the building sits in a location, where all the flats and their balconies get a panoramic view of the surrounding hills and greenery.
